Therapy Pups

Mae (left) and Lucy (right) are eager to help out.

If we work together in therapy, we may have some company in the background. There are two sweet therapy dogs who are part of my practice. Lucy (brown pup) is a nine-year-old Springer Spaniel and Mae (black and white pup) is three years old.

Both dogs are curious, affectionate and energetic by nature. Though you won't meet them "in person," since all our sessions will be by phone or video, they may make an appearance. I hope the pups will be a charming and calming presence in your session.

What does having a therapy dog accomplish? There's research to show that they assist with increased hope, reduced anxiety, better access to sense of humor and more perspective for clients. Also, they are way cute.
